About Us

Our Founder and Clinical Director

Kenneth G. Lent, LCSW-R is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Clinical Director and Owner of Practice for over 30 years. He received his Bachelors of Psychology from Stony Brook University and his Master of Social Work from Adelphi University.


Ken is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. He has also appeared on numerous radio and television programs as a guest speaker, discussing various topics regarding psychological, behavioral and social issues that plague our society.


Additionally, he has appeared as a keynote guest speaker at Marriage Seminars addressing various relational issues. More specifically, he has worked with children and adults on a therapeutic basis extensively addressing all psychological, emotional and behavioral issues in various settings, which include an outpatient clinic, foster care & adoption, school & home based, as well as an expertise in the field of drugs and alcohol. Predominantly, over the years, a heavy concentration of his therapy has been in the area of adults and couples.

Our Therapists

Christian K. Lent, LMSW

Christian K. Lent is a Licensed Master Social Worker. He received his Bachelors of social work from the state University at Plattsburgh and his Masters of Social Work from Florida International University. 


Committed to meeting his clients where they are at and working alongside them to address their challenges and offer compassionate support. Christian seeks to understand the clients perspectives', listening and delivering hope and encouragement through a gentle and safe therapeutic environment. He offers counseling to individuals, families, and couples helping them all heal, grow, and live fulfilling lives. 


Through developing trusting relationships and working together to meet your needs and achieve your goals. Christian succeeds in pushing you towards progress and the best version of you.

Meredith Cooper, LCSW-R

 Meredith Cooper is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Registered with over 25 years of experience serving underrepresented populations across mental health clinics, residential care, and substance use treatment settings. A graduate of Stony Brook University (Class of 2003), Meredith has dedicated her career to supporting youth and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction.


She also provides couples counseling, with a strong emphasis on enhancing communication and relationship skills. Meredith integrates a range of evidence-based modalities in her work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, Client-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure Therapy.


Her approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a deep commitment to helping clients build the insight, skills, and support systems they need to lead fulfilling, balanced lives.

Lisa Phillips, ATR-BC, LCAT, ATCS, MEd

 Lisa Phillips has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, including 17 years as an Art Therapist at an in-patient, acute psychiatric hospital. In this role, she has provided both art therapy and psychotherapy to patients of all ages with a wide range of diagnoses.


Lisa holds Master’s Degrees in Creative Arts Therapies and in Education with a specialization in Counseling, both earned with distinction. Beyond her clinical expertise, Lisa is also an accomplished artist whose work has been exhibited internationally. Her artwork is part of collections around the world and was most recently included in The Archives of American Art at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.


Lisa brings creativity, compassion, and clinical insight to her work—helping clients use self-expression as a pathway toward healing and personal growth.

Maria Joy, LCSW

  Maria Joy, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to providing compassionate, empathetic, and individualized therapy. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. Joseph’s College and her Master of Social Work from Stony Brook University School of Social Welfare.


Maria takes a person-centered approach to therapy, tailoring each session to meet her clients’ unique needs and goals. She has extensive experience working with adults and older adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, and stress related to life transitions.


Maria is deeply committed to fostering a strong therapeutic relationship that offers a safe and supportive space for growth. Through this connection, she helps clients explore their thoughts and emotions while developing healthy coping strategies to navigate life with greater resilience and positivity.

Erin Beth, LCSW

  With nearly 20 years of experience in individual and group psychotherapy, Erin Beth is dedicated to helping clients strengthen their mental health and improve their overall quality of life. She has worked extensively with a broad range of concerns, including grief, depression, and anxiety.


In addition to traditional counseling services, Erin offers art therapy upon request. Her approach focuses on setting attainable, personalized goals that empower clients to make meaningful changes, build resilience, and cultivate a greater sense of well-being in both daily life and long-term life satisfaction.
